2-Year Checkup

Ava & Addie went to the pediatrician for their 2-year checkup on August 21. They are both on the small side but at least they are healthy and growing. Addie weighed 22 lbs. and was 34 inches tall. Ava weighed 22 1/2 lbs. and was 34 1/2 inches tall. (The only time Addie has been bigger than Ava was when they were born.) Just because I was curious, I looked back to see how much Ella Kate weighed at 2 years old-- 28 lbs.

Dr. B sent Ava & Addie to the hospital for some routine bloodwork. They had to have a finger-stick and Ava was not at all happy about it. In Ella Kate fashion, she cried & screamed from the moment they stuck her little finger until we were ready to leave. Addie, on the other hand, never made a sound nor did she shed a tear. They are so different! Ava is just like Ella Kate though (both a bit on the dramatic side!).

Here's a picture of them as we were leaving the hospital. Addie has the pink thumb and Ava has the green thumb. You can tell Ava is still very unhappy.
I must say it is still hard for me to believe they are already 2 years old. They are both so precious!
